Drivers convicted of DUI offenses get education, counseling, and the resources they need to make a healthy change.
Hope & Opportunity provides screening, education, and counseling for individuals convicted of first-time or repeat driving under the influence (DUI) offenses, primarily from Arapahoe County, Colorado. In a series of weekly classes, the program helps participants understand how alcohol and other drugs affect driving skills, and the importance of modifying their behavior for the safety of themselves, their families, and their communities. Participants pay a modest fee for the course and earn a certificate of completion to provide to the courts.
Our Programs are Taken for the following reasons:
- Drug Education Classes– Complete a Court Ordered drug awareness class – requirements for a 8, 10, 12, 16, 24 or longer program
- Alcohol Awareness Classes– Taken commonly for probation, court, employer or simply to better understand alcohol addiction and abuse.
- DUI/DWI classes*– These classes are most commonly taken for citations related to driving while intoxicated. Please get prior approval to take this online class before enrolling if you have a DUI/DWI requirement.
- MIP, MIC Classes- Minor in possession classes taken for school, court and other legal needs by those under 21.
We know it can be difficult to find classes in Aurora/Denver. While many customers take our classes for personal development, they are also ideal to fulfill a court or other legal requirement. All participants will receive access to “Proof of Enrollment” form as well as a “Certificate of Completion“. Hourly lengths are the typical equivalent to weekly classes.
